Painted on Belgian Portrait Linen and mounted on a panel. The little chestnut-colored Carolina Wren is set apart from the snowy ground by the wintery palette of Winter Whites to soft Blues.
Looking out my studio window, I saw this charming Carolina Wren alight on a low branch near the freshly fallen snow. His silhouetted shape backlit by the sunlit snow and tree shadows was a warm spot of cheer in the wintery landscape.
