As a painting moves from the mind of the artist onto the canvas, it often pauses at the drawing board. This pen and ink is the design for the painting "October" depicting a group of horses and hounds on a beautiful day in the late Fall. I love using ink as the line it creates is so expressive and lively. The gestures of the hounds as they move amongst the horses and the casual postures of the horses as they relax with their riders express the atmosphere of The Hunt.
