The View from the first boardwalk looking out to Cape Ann- Ipswich, Essex, Gloucester, Rockport. It was daunting to tackle such an expansive view, but it proved incredibly gratifying to study the waves in such sunlight. I'm proud to say this painting was completed in "one shot" meaning in one session- albeit over a few hours of constant observation and painting. Capturing the effect of constant motion in sunlight was amazing.
